A - The overal length of the 7' rail with head attached is 122.5 inches with 93.9 inches of travel.
Q - Does the size of my door affect the type of garage door opener/operator I need?
A - No, but you need to measure the height of your garage door, as this will impact the accessories and rail size needed. The standard length can lift a garage door between 7' and 7'6". If the garage door is over 7'6" we recommend getting the 8 foot garage door rail. If you need a larger size, they do make a 9' rail as well, or their are rail extensions you may purchase if you are simply looking to expand a current rail size.
