Q.  I sometimes see a pause or flickering when the doorbell takes a snapshot, is that normal?

A. Yes, it's normal for the system to do that. When the doorbell takes a snapshot, it works just like a camera by capturing the image and storing it in the memory chip.

Q.  Is there polarity for installing the M320 system?

A. There is no polarity for the M320 system. Simply use 2 wires (22AWG minimum) to connect between main monitor and doorbell. This applies to the expansion doorbell (EX-320D) and dome cameras (EX-320C) as well.

However, there is polarity between the M320 main monitor to any expansion monitors (EX320H). Please make sure that the positive is connected to the positive end on both sides, and vice versa. Otherwise, you might experience a "hissing" sound.

Q.  What kind of wires can I use to install the M320 system or any of the expansion products?

A. We recommend using a minimum of 22AWG wire, which can be purchased from your local hardware store. Existing wires from the previous door bell can also be used if the integrity of the wire is in good condition.

Q.  What's the maximum expansion capacity of the Cyrex M320?

A. The maximum expansion capacity of the Cyrex M320 intercom system is 8 monitors and 4 add ons, any conbination of expansion door bells and/or dome cameras.

Q.  Do all of the monitors have the memory function?

A. No, only the master monitor from the M320 system has memory function. The expansion monitors (EX-320H) do not.

Q.  Can I modify the power supply or any of the products to custom fit my home?

A. Any modifications to the power supply of the M320 system would void all warranties and can cause fire or electric shock. Serious injury or death could result from any alterations of the products.

Q.  Is the EX-320D doorbell weatherproof? If so, can I install it outdoors?

A. Yes, the EX-320D is weatherproof. It is constructed of rugged durable metal, which allows it to be installed outdoors.

Q.  In case of a power outage, would the master monitor lose its stored picture memory?

A. The M320 is designed to retain the stored picture memory and system settings in case of a power outage. however, the back-up battery offers only 4 hours of back up power for date/time settings and picture memory.

Q.  How do I stop the light from blinking on the door release button? Why is the door release light blinking? And how do I resolve it?
A.

There are a few reasons why the light around the door release button blinks. Please adjust or check these options:

1. The time and Date stamp is not set or has been lost due to power interruption

To set the time and sate stamp, open the panel on the bottom right portion of the monitor. Press the second button named (CLOCK ADJ). This should bring you into the clock adjustment mode on the video screen. Press the (PLAY/ALTER) button until the desired date and time are set. The format of the time and date stamp is as follows: ?Year/Month/Day?. Press (MODE EXIT) to exit the clock adjustment mode.

If the button continues to blink, move on to step 2.

2. There is a new picture(s) stored in the memory.

To retrieve the picture and stop the button from blinking, open the panel on the bottom right portion of the monitor. Press the second button named (PLAY/ALTER) until all of the new pictures have been viewed. The light should stop blinking once all of the new pictures have been viewed.

If the light continues to blink, move on to step 3.

3. If there are magnetic sensors installed to the door status function, the door may be ajar. The blinking button signifies that the sensors are not touching. In order to remedy the situation, the door must be closed until the magnetic sensors are aligned.
