    There are 2 versions of the STAR 450, the 315mhz only allows the new security plus remotes that operate on 315mhz. The STAR 450-1 is the 390mhz and allows for the old security plus remotes AND the old dip switch style remotes as well! Liftmaster Star 450 receiver 450 capacity 315mhz or 390mhz is the new replacement model for the old star 250 receiver that operates on 390mhz.
